Frequently Asked Questions - Push-To-Talk

How do I install my iCONNECT™ SIM Card?

Your iCONNECT™ SIM Card only works with an IDEN SIM-based handset provided by iCONNECT™. Simply detach it from the SIM card holder and insert it into the SIM card slot in your mobile phone. Make sure not to touch the gold contact plates on the SIM card to prevent its damage.

What is the difference between a 32K and 64K SIM Card?

There are two types of SIM cards currently at use: 32K and 64K SIM Cards.

The 32K SIM Card stores up to 250 phonebook entries and can be used on the two-digit phone series: i30, i35, i50, i55, i60, i90, and i95 as well as the three-digit phone series: i205, i215, i285, i305, i315, i325, i325IS, i530, i730, i736, i830, i860, i870, and i930. Note however that with the 32K SIM Card used in the Falcon series, you cannot assign unique ring tones or pictures to your contact list.

On the other hand, the 64K SIM Card stores more data at 600 phonebook contact entries. While it is not compatible with the two-digit phone series, it works with the three-digit phone series listed earlier in this section.

A cellular phone call between iCONNECT™ subscribers within the islands is considered as a local call. To call from Guam or the CNMI to another iCONNECT™ number in either location, dial the 7-digit iCONNECT™ cell number.

To call from a Guam iCONNECT™ subscriber to a CNMI landline or a different CNMI cellular network, add 670 to the 7-digit telephone or cellular number. To call from a CNMI iCONNECT™ subscriber to a Guam landline or a different Guam cellular network, add 671 to the 7-digit telephone and cellular number. In these instances, the calls are considered long distance.

For roamer cellular subscribers, your service is automatically on roaming. A PTT subscription service however is required for PTT use in both Guam and the CNMI.
